The field of neuroscience continues to offer new insights that can inform efforts to support early literacy. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) – a framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning for all people based on scientific insights into how humans learn – is an important complement to efforts to advance the science of reading by ensuring those efforts are rooted in the science of teaching and learning.
