In partnership with the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN) created the Building Opportunities in Out-Of-School Time (BOOST) initiative with funding from the American Rescue Plan. Over the course of the three -year grants, 115 of the 159 counties in Georgia had at least one BOOST site. Join this conversation to hear from state and local leaders about the innovative design, administration, and evaluation of this competitive grant program, and learn how it is helping change and strengthen programs for young people throughout the state by investing in quality supports, strengthening systems, and bolstering technical assistance. This session will offer practical guidance in how to design, administer, and evaluate statewide initiatives.
