"A House of Our Own" is a 25-minute film that follows two groups of urban homesteaders attempting to take legal ownership of abandoned buildings in 1975, in the midst of New York City's fiscal crisis.
The screening will be followed by a discussion of what we have to learn from the early homesteaders about building housing during a citywide crisis.
