Patient Portals, Digital Health Records and Telehealth reflect our society’s shift to practicing health care in the digital world. With a device and connectivity, health care can be accessed from more places than ever before, creating great opportunities for the health care industry through Telehealth. Many mental health care providers have also maximized the opportunity to spread their reach virtually, treating the needs of patients in populations and regions that have historically struggled to obtain care in the mental health space. With great opportunities come great challenges. There are still many people without access to these digital health care services who remain left behind due to a variety of challenges, including ownership of a device, connectivity, digital literacy or insurance coverage. Working at the nexus of Digital Access and Telehealth, our panelists will guide us as we explore the opportunities and challenges related to increasing digital access to physical and mental health services.
