MAEC’s Collaborative Action for Family Engagement (CAFE) and Center for Education Equity (CEE) present Are ALL the Children Well? 2.0: A Five-Part Homeless Education and Family Engagement webinar series. Review the first part of this series here. In this second installment, we will provide more resources and guidance for schools, families, and communities to support students who experience homelessness. Topics in the series include advocacy for foster youth, end of year/transitional supports for students and their families, and a youth panel. We begin the webinar series 2.0 of "Are ALL the Children Well?" by centering the voices of youth with lived experiences through a panel discussion with three SchoolHouse Connection Scholars. SchoolHouse Connection is a national non-profit working to overcome homelessness through education, and it is the provider of one of the only national scholarship programs for youth experiencing homelessness. In this webinar, participants will: Understand the impact of homelessness on student achievement and access to education Identify youth homelessness crises and services that SchoolHouse Connection provides Learn about the barriers students face and the supports they found most helpful
