This is the second in a series of weekly FYI webinars hosted by The National Center for Housing and Child Welfare (NCHCW) and Foster ACTION Ohio to help communities implement HUD's new FYI initiative, which was designed and delivered to Sec. Carson by current and former foster youth on March 4, 2019. HUD published the NOFA on July 26. Current FUP administrators from PHAs & PCWAs will share the keys to begining and maintaining a strong partnership. Also, independent living coordinators will be on the line to explain how youth are prepared for being successful tenants and share the various techniques communities use to recruit new landlords to accept Housing Choice Vouchers from difficult to house tenants. It is important to note that PHAs nationwide have a rich history of administering FUP, inlcuding many CLPHA members.
