This is the first in a series of weekly FYI webinars hosted by The National Center for Housing and Child Welfare (NCHCW) and Foster ACTION Ohio to help communities implement HUD's new FYI initiative, which was designed and delivered to Sec. Carson by current and former foster youth on March 4, 2019. HUD published the NOFA on July 26. FYI allows non-FUP PHAs to develop partnerships with their local public child welfare organizations to serve youth with on demand vouchers from the Tenant Protection Account. FUP vouchers are time limited so it is important that PCWAs provide the services necessary to help move youth towards self-sufficiency. This first webinar will provide PHA and PCWA staff and partners including local Continuum of Care folks tools for implementation. It is important to note that PHAs nationwide have a rich history of administering FUP, inlcuding many CLPHA members.
