The Community Eligibility Provision allows high poverty schools to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students and eliminates the need to collect school meal applications to determine student’s eligibility for free or reduced-price school breakfast and lunch. While this reduction in paperwork is a clear benefit, some states require or encourage community eligibility schools to collect household income forms for other purposes such as state education funding. These states include: Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin. Join this 30-minute-deep-dive webinar to learn strategies and tips that other school districts use to collect household income forms so their school districts can experience the benefits of community eligibility too.
