The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (GLR Campaign) is a decade‐long collaborative effort of funders, nonprofits, public officials, government agencies, business leaders, states and 360+ communities across the nation to ensure that many more children from low‐income families succeed in school and graduate prepared for college, a career and active citizenship. The GLR Campaign’s work focuses on reading proficiency by the end of third grade, a key predictor of high school graduation and a milestone missed by more than 80 percent of low‐income children.

The GLR Campaign is launching a series of learning conversations for the 200+ (and growing) housing champions within the GLR Network and a wider audience of housing partners to learn from each other, discuss current research that can inform your work and access opportunities that can further your early childhood development and literacy goals.

Our first conversation will feature a presentation by Dr. Ben York, president of Ready4K.  Ready4K is an evidence-based family engagement curriculum delivered via text message, scientifically designed to increase parents’ involvement in their children’s lives.

Ready4K has partnerships in place with several local, regional and national partners, and it is now announcing a startup funding program for PHAs that provides significant financial and implementation support for up to three years. Come learn more about how you can further literacy skills among the young children living in their communities and specifically about this unique opportunity.

If you have any questions about the webinar, contact Jill Fioravanti at jfioravanti@gradelevelreading.net
